Sand Dredger Volumetric Calculations
The dredger was scanned using a stationary 3D Laser Scanner and a precise 3D CAD model was developed. Volumetric calculations were then done in sections to ensure accuracy. Pipe and structural members volume is deducted from the total volume to pin point the exact capacity of the dredger. This project helped the operations and planning team better plan their dredging activities and project schedule, resulting in tremendous cost savings overt the life time of the project.
